Today’s blog was going to be about how tonight marks the 21st anniversary of The Howie Silbiger Show, but that seems irrelevant today. Israel advocate, talk show host and friend Ari Fuld was murdered today in Gush Etzion. Ari was a staunch supporter of Israel. He was a reservist in the Israeli Defense Force and was fearless. He was one of the toughest men I knew, never backed down from a confrontation and loved to give advice on how to be a better Israel advocate. His last live video was shared on his Facebook page on Friday.
When I started hosting Political Hitman on Israel Newstalk Radio, Ari was the first show host on the station who contacted me with feedback on my show. He continued to provide feedback and was my unofficial replacement host when I couldn’t do the show. He was always eager and willing to help out and always did an amazing job. I will miss him.
Ari got stabbed in the back today at a shopping mall in Gush Etzion by a 17 year old coward. After being stabbed, Ari chased the terrorist and shot him before collapsing and later succumbing to his wounds.
Tonight’s Howie Silbiger Show will be dedicated to Ari. We will talk about Israel advocacy and terrorism.
